On February 18th, took place the 2017 edition of Olympiad Contest of Economy, which was unfolded at the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova. The Olympiad was organized by the National Agency for Curriculum and Evaluation in partnership with AESM (Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova) and NGO Junior Achievement Moldova with the financial support of " Familia Sturza" Foundation, StarNet Company, BC Moldova Agroindbank SA and Metro Cash and Carry Moldova.
At the event participated 134 pupils from the 10th to 12th grade high schools and colleges from the country, which attended the program "Applied Economics". Through competitors were: 49 boys and 85 girls (out of them: 10th grade - 21 boys and 35 girls, 11th grade - 17 boys and 35 girls, 12th grade - 11 boys and 15 girls). From the total number of participants, 62 pupils are from Chisinau, 72 – outside of the municipality, 98 are Romanian speakers and 36 are Russian speakers.
From the territorial point of view, there were pupils from 10 administrative-territorial units of Republic Of Moldova, as follows: Chişinău, Glodeni, Drochia, Anenii Noi, Ialoveni, Orhei, Leova, Ungheni, Briceni, Nisporeni.
The Olympic Lot was prepared by 26 teachers (21 women, 5 men): 11 teachers from Chisinau, 4 teachers from Anenii Noi, 3 teachers from Glodeni, 2 teachers from Drochia and one teacher each: Nisporeni, Briceni, Leova, Ungheni, Ialoveni and Orhei.
